What is a Nik’s Home Run Grant?
Nik believed in the power of happiness and how beneficial it is in the cancer battle. The goal of the Home Run Grant Program is to recognize the courage and determination of these inspirational cancer warriors by offering respite trips or other life enrichment to them and their families in the hopes of alleviating some of the many emotional and psychological challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. Our hope is that the grant provides happy memories filled with laughter and smiles.
Who is Eligible?
Currently, this program is limited to young adolescent adults with a diagnosis of cancer between the ages of 18-24 who reside in the United States.
If your older than 25, please click here to be re-directed to one of our affiliates For Pete’s Sake.
The mission of The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation is to enrich the lives, stimulate encouragement, and strengthen the faith of sarcoma patients who are between 18-24 years old and their loved ones. If you elect a respite, we may ask for feedback and pictures about your respite experience. The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation requests permission from all grantees to use the patient’s and family’s names, story, and pictures to help raise awareness for The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation and to increase awareness of sarcoma and young adolescent cancer and the need for funding for an unlimited period of time in all media.
